I was about to complete my studies of English Language and Literature at the Novi Sad University back in 1996, but due to bad economic situation in my country after the war between ex-Yugoslav states, I had to start working. Therefore, I went to Croatia and started working with the UN mission there, where I was working until Jan 1998, and there I acquired a lot of experience in regards to work and everything connected with it. When I came back in Novi Sad I started working with the Norwegian Refugee Council, where I was working as a translator and administrative assistant. Back in October 1998 we were on our way back from Subotica, a town near Novi Sad, and we had a terrible accident, where I was severely injured, but survived and forgot a lot of things but not French and English! These days I'm pensioned off and willing to work (and sometimes earn) in subjects that are connected with English language. Global Voices gave me a chance to practice my translating, and I really enjoy learning different kinds of stories from people from all around the world. These are the news we need to hear.
